Totally Lame

This weekend, I was stumbling to the bathroom in the middle of the night, when I did something terrible to the big toe on my good leg. My guess is that I sprained it very badly or fractured it. It is black and blue and swollen all over and hurts like a mofo. I would go to the doctor, but even if it is broken, they can’t really do all that much for a toe.
So now I have two gimpy legs.
After icing and elevation, the toe is much better today, but I still had to wear soft shoes in order to limp painfully to the post office. The knee that had surgery is doing great, but it’s still not healed to the point at which that leg can serve as my “good” leg and bear more than its fair share of my weight. I probably had a very odd gait, as old ladies were moving aside to let me pass.

You are turning into me! Last month, I slammed the second two of the foot on the good leg into the ground. It was swollen, badly abraded, and could not wiggle. Went to the ER to be told that all that could be done is taping the toe to its buddy. So tape up them toes, woman. And try not to limp. It puts lots of strain on the sick knee and the calf with the broken toe.

Second toe, not “two”. That makes no sense.

At least you did not type “toos”!

That’s almost what I did, a couple years ago. I twisted the left ankle in aikido class, and as that was healing, I sprained the right one while limping on the sidewalk.
I think you need to find yourself a lackey to do your errands. Someone who can cook, too. Maybe Qui knows one. ;)

How did I miss this? I am so sorry.
